Installing our low-voltage OWLIA Lights (12V) is extremely easy with our Plug & Play system. However, there are a few rules to follow before you install your new lights.
Here are the 3 steps and instructions to follow for an ideal installation of your spotlights around your deck, pool and/or stairs.
Decide which type of light you’d like to use to illuminate your deck.
– Warm White
– Colour lighting (RGB) with cool white
The cables and remotes are different, depending on the type of lighting you choose
For a more attractive lighting solution, place the spotlights around the outer edge of your deck, not against the facade of your house.
For a more balanced design, start by placing a spotlight in each corner of your deck. Then space out the spotlights evenly, leaving at least 1.5 to 2 m between each light.
Using a spade drill bit or a hole saw, drill holes to fit your spotlights into the boards.
Connect the spotlights together. If needed, use extension cords (2 m or 5 m) to reach the spotlights.
The entire lighting circuit is connected to a waterproof IP67 transformer.
All you need to do is connect the transformer (220V) to mains power with a differential protection for your safety.
